Description:Map of the local area composed of incised and painted black granite tiles. The map is affixed to the external wall of the superstore.

This granite mural was designed and crafted
by local Sculptor John Skelton.
Originally sited at Sainsbury’s North Street store
in 1961, it was later moved to the new store in
Westhampnett Road in 1986.
It was the only item to survive the 1993 fire
and, following restoration, it was re-sited
at the new store which opened in 1994.
